On visiting Tower Bridge Exhibtion’s stand at Excursions every visitor will have the chance to win the opportunity to raise Tower Bridge!
Tower Bridge is lifted on average 900 times a year by highly trained technical staff. This money-can’t-buy prize will involve driving the Bridge from inside the Control Cabin guided by a Senior Technical Officer who will explain how Tower Bridge opens, and answer any questions about the Bridge’s mechanics.
Other features on the Tower Bridge Exhibition stand will be:
- The chance to find out about the private group tours - see the Bridge Behind the Scenes and After Hours!
- The opportunity to meet a Tower Bridge Exhibition Guide and test their knowledge on the famous structure
- Details on the “Great Debate”, live actors on the Bridge happening within Tower Bridge walkways where visitors can witness the discussions and debates that took place over which design to choose for the new Bridge in Victorian times
Entry to the Bridge lifting competition will be by completing a short form on why “you feel you deserve to win”.
