Romance was in the air on Friday November 7 th 2003 as the iconic London landmark celebrated its very first civil wedding. The bride and groom's first kiss was on the Bridge in 2000, so they were delighted to enjoy their first married kiss there too!
The prestigious Bridgemaster's Dining Room, 30 metres above the River Thames was the fitting setting for Nicola Harrison and Peter Buck's nuptials. Close friends and family attended the intimate and emotional ceremony, who all went on to enjoy champagne and canapés in the smart reception area afterwards.
Mrs K Harrison, the bride's mother said, "We were delighted to be the first wedding on Tower Bridge . Nicola and Peter had their first kiss here on the Bridge, so when we heard they could also get married here it was really the only choice for them. A very special day for all of us was made even more so by the beautiful setting."
Emma Williams, Business Manager at Tower Bridge said, "We have received an incredible amount of enquiries since we announced our wedding licence back in August 2003. We congratulate The Buck's on their marriage and look forward to welcoming many more couples to enjoy their special day with us during 2004."
