Ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes at Tower Bridge? Now is your chance.

November sees the return of the renowned Engineering Tours, offering visitors a rare and extended tour of Tower Bridge, from the fascinating Exhibition to the hidden depths of the most famous bridge in the world. More tours have been added due to popular demand and will now take place on Saturday 15 November and every weekend thereafter throughout December, January and March (not February). Places are limited and sell out quickly, so early booking is advisable.

Part one: Learn about the Bridge’s captivating history and construction from one of our experienced guides; view London life through the new glass floor, admire spectacular panoramic views from the high-level Walkways and wonder at the original steam pumping engines, accumulators and boilers in the atmospheric Engine Rooms.

Part two: Follow the Bridge’s Senior Technical Officers to those areas normally out of bounds to the public, including the Bridge Control Room, the immense Bascule Chambers below river level and the Machinery Room, which houses the impressive hydraulics that power the lifting of the Bridge.

This is a discovery not to be missed. Places are limited and sell out quickly, so book now to avoid disappointment: 020 7407 9191 or enquiries@towerbridge.org.uk

Cost: £50 per person including FREE Tower Bridge Souvenir Guidebook

Time: 15.00 - 17.00 (approx.)

Each tour is limited to 12 places. Individual tickets can be purchased.

NOTE: The tour features steep stairs and areas that are considered confined spaces. If you have access requirements please discuss this with us before booking onto an Engineering Tour.
