The Bus that Jumped the Bridge

Saturday 16 May: Weekend storytelling sessions at Tower Bridge Exhibition

We are delighted to announce the launch of our exciting new family learning programme, involving FREE storytelling sessions and drop-in art activities to take place on weekends throughout the year.

Kicking off this Saturday 16 May, professional storyteller, Diana Olutunmogun will perform ‘The Bus That Jumped The Bridge’ – her unique interpretation of the historic moment Albert Gunter, driver of the Number 78 bus, jumped the Bridge’s opening bascules in 1952.

Performances will be held throughout the day at intervals from 11:30 – 15:00, whilst drop-in art activities will be available from 10:00 – 16:00.

Stories are aimed at children aged six to 10 years but can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

Both activities will take place in the South Tower and are included within the general admission. Activities are not available for pre-booking.

Book your tickets online now.
