Be Part of History with Tower Bridge's Time Capsule

Tower Bridge Exhibition invites you to be part of history and take part in this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

In Spring 2017, Tower Bridge Exhibition will unveil a unique 'Walk of Fame' celebrating some of the unsung heroes behind the most famous Bridge in the world. From its cooks to coal stokers, labourers to bridge lifters and everyone in between, the names of 40 specially selected workers will be cast on to decorative plaques and laid into the pavement as a permanent tribute to these legacy-building individuals.

But this isn't just about the past — buried under the new 'Walk of Fame' will be a 2017 time capsule, celebrating the living heritage and human face of modern London, and Tower Bridge Exhibition invites you to take part in this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

Entrants are invited to share their personal connection to the capital.

Submit a note, relic or object that captures the essence of a cherished London memory, along with 100 words detailing the significance of the object and why it should be included. Send to 'Freepost: TOWER BRIDGE EXHIBITION' or email competitions@towerbridge.org.uk and you could be one of the lucky participants commemorated in the capsule.

Forty submissions will be chosen from all the entries and buried beneath the 40th decorative plaque, and could be unearthed during conservation works in 40 years' time.
