Tower Bridge to take part in London History Day!
Join us on Wednesday 31st May as we team up with Historic England to celebrate the first ever London History Day.
We’re going to be focusing on John Gass: a person who held one of the best jobs in London – being in charge of Tower Bridge! As the first Superintendent of Machinery and then a Bridge Master at Tower Bridge, John Gass had a vital role in keeping the engines of Tower Bridge working so it could open for passing ships.
Discover more about John’s work at our family activity station inside Tower Bridge's Engine Rooms from 10.30 – 16.00 on Wednesday 31st May.
Family activities are open to children of all ages but are particularly appropriate for those aged 6 to 10. No advanced booking is required and all activities are included in the price of your admission ticket.
