See Steam Engine Inspections Today
Today’s visitors to Tower Bridge Exhibition are in for a treat as they are able to witness real-life engineering on Victorian machinery.
Dorothea Restorations will be working on the beautifully maintained original steam engines housed in the Victorian Engine Rooms, opening up the cylinders and inspecting the pistons for wear and tear. The work is expected to take several days so don’t worry if you can’t pop down to the Exhibition today!
The last successful restoration on the engines took place in 2013.
Entry to the Engine Rooms is included in the admission price.
