Education Team attend Sandford Award Ceremony
In March 2016, the Tower Bridge Learning team had a visit from 2 Sandford Award judges to assess the quality of our schools learning programme. The Sandford Award is an independently judged, quality assured assessment of education programmes at heritage sites and museums which offers a ‘kite mark’ guaranteeing high quality education provision. Happily, in July we were awarded one and so last week we went the award ceremony in Worcester Cathedral to collect our certificate.
None of us had ever been to Worcester Cathedral before and we were really impressed by how beautiful it was. We also enjoyed meeting all the other award winners from around the country and hearing more about their learning programmes.
Now we have to decide where to display our award!
