Car Free Day at Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge open as normal - 9:30-17:00 (last admission)
On Sunday 22 September, London will hold its largest ever Car Free Day in a bid to raise awareness about climate change. Led by London mayor Sadiq Khan, the initiative will draw awareness to the dangers of toxic air in the city and encourage people to explore the capital without the use of a vehicle.
To celebrate Car Free Day 2019, Tower Bridge will be closed to road traffic. The iconic London landmark will play host to group yoga and meditation sessions as well as classic cycle rides along the Bridge.
Visitors taking advantage of a car-free Bridge can also take the opportunity to see inside Tower Bridge, which is open as normal, to discover the stories behind the engineering, the people, the architecture and the City that built the iconic Bridge 125 years ago.
