Why was Tower Bridge built, and what was life like on the London docks of 1894? Turn your students into history detectives and find out!
Students will explore the sights and smells of London's docks through historical sources, developing enquiry and analytical skills to uncover the relationship between the Thames, international trade, and Tower Bridge.
Good to know
- Workshops take place in our designated Learning Space, and all include a Guided Tour.
- Standalone Guided Tours are also available for Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
- All workshops and tours are delivered by our experienced Learning Team.
- The workshop cost includes admission to Tower Bridge.
- Your workshop must be booked and paid for at least four weeks in advance.

School Visits Fund
The School Visits Fund may be able to support your visit to Tower Bridge. If your school is in Greater London and meets the criteria, you may be eligible for a grant. State-maintained schools with a pupil premium rate of 35% or more, SEND schools, Pupil Referral Units and youth organisations can all apply.
This fund provides grants of up to £300 towards the cost of admission, transport and teacher cover.
