By way of our grand Victorian staircase or fully accessible lift, visitors are invited to travel back in time to the nineteenth century. From the North tower, explore the fascinating history of Tower Bridge: its design construction and maintenance; its place in history and in the heart of the nation.

Moving through to the high-level Walkways, visitors will be able to experience the amazing Glass Floor – a unique viewpoint of London life.

Rather not look down? Visitors can admire stunning panoramic views from the Walkways, spying popular London landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, the BT Tower and The Monument

Discover a day in the life of Tower Bridge, including video footage of the Bridge lifting. Then, take the stairs or the lift back down to ground level. Follow the plaques, which celebrate historic workers at Tower Bridge - follow in their footsteps from the South Tower to the atmospheric Engine Rooms.

Here, soak in the atmosphere of the working Bridge amongst the spectacular steam engines, coal-fired boilers and accumulators that were once used to power the raising of Tower Bridge’s 1200 tonne bascules. Engaging films and information panels will shine a light on the ingenious hydraulic technology and ordinary workers who kept London's defining Landmark for more than a century.
