Junk Model Flotilla: Opening Day Reimagined
Push the boat out at our family activities this month and help us celebrate Tower Bridge’s 131st birthday. On 30 June 1894 – when Tower Bridge first opened for ships - a flotilla of boats lined up on the River Thames, all hoping to be the first vessel through the Bridge’s breathtaking bascules. Help reimagine this scene at our drop-in sessions on Saturday 14 June by using recycled materials to create a fleet of ships.
