Getting Here

The Tower Bridge Ticket Office and entrance is located in the west side of the North Tower.

We suggest allowing plenty of time to arrive to Tower Bridge as you will want to take photographs of the surroundings.

Walk or Cycle

Fancy a bit of sight-seeing? Walking or cycling along the Thames is a great way to get to Tower Bridge.

There are many different routes to walk to Tower Bridge, including along the Thames Path, which starts at the sources of the River Thames, passing through Central London, and finishing at the Thames Barrier to the east.

Alternatively, you can use TFL's Route Planner to find routes and walking times between your starting point and Tower Bridge.

Cycling to Tower Bridge has been made easier by the installation of new and improved cycling routes across Greater London. A new map has been created with opened and proposed cycle routes, as well as cycle docking stations.

Santander Cycle Hire docking stations can be found south of the river on Tooley Street and Tanner Street in Bermondsey, and Curlew Street in Shad Thames. To the north of the river, the nearest docking stations are located on St Katharine’s Way and Tower Gardens, opposite the Tower of London. Tower Bridge is a short walk from each of these points. Docking stations, as well as current availability, can be found on the Santander Cycle map.

Bike racks, to secure our own cycle to, can be found on Duchess Walk, outside 210 Tower Bridge Road, and on Butler's Wharf - all to the south of the Bridge. On the north side of the river, cycle racks are available on St Katharine’s Way and Lower Thames Street. A comprehensive map of cycle racks can be found on the Stolen Ride website.

Train

Tower Bridge is close to both London Bridge and Fenchurch Street National Rail stations, or Tower Gateway DLR Station. If you are up for a nice walk along the Thames, you can also walk to Tower Bridge from Blackfriars, Cannon Street or City Thameslink stations.

Tube (London Underground)

Tower Hill station is a seven-minute walk from Tower Bridge. It can be can be accessed from the District, and Circle lines. It has step-free access from platform to street.

London Bridge station is served by the Northern, and Jubilee lines. Tower Bridge is just a short walk away. It has step-free access from train to street.

Riverboat

Riverboats stop at Tower Pier to the north of the Bridge, and at London Bridge City Pier on the southern side of the Thames. Both are a short walk from Tower Bridge. We advise checking the riverboat providers’ website for their latest schedules.

Bus

The following bus routes will take you to Tower Bridge: 15, 42, 78,100, 343. 

Parking

The nearest car parks to Tower Bridge are:

  • Tower Hill Coach and Car Park, situated at 50 Lower Thames Street, London, EC3R 6DT, next to the Tower of London,
  • The Circle Car Park on Queen Elizabeth Street (SE1 WJE). 
  • Another option is Minories, a car park located on Mansell Street, a few minutes walk north of Tower Bridge.
  • Tower Hill Coach and Car Park is accessible, with allocated bays for Blue Badge holders. Coaches can drop-off and collect from it, free of charge for 15 minutes.
  • There are various NCP car parks located close to Tower Bridge - London Snowfields is on Kipling Street, near London Bridge.

Limited on-street parking is available in the areas around the Bridge. Please see individual bays for timings and charges.

Note: Tower Bridge is a Red Route and there can be no stopping at any time.
