Raise Tower Bridge workshop

Raise Tower Bridge

Discover how this iconic structure opens to passing boats, and how technology has changed in its lifetime.

Students will work together in small teams to build a model of Tower Bridge to understand the Bridge's engineering and how modern-day coding can be used to make it open. The workshop culminates in pupils writing and inputting the code required to raise the roads of an animated Tower Bridge!

Suitable for children aged 7 - 11.

Tower Bridge Learning activities for schools - Design the Skyline

Design the skyline

Challenge your child to design London’s future skyline. Taking on the role of architects, children will visit the high level walkways to critically analyse the current London skyline before designing new landmarks using professional 3D design software, SketchUp.

Students will also be introduced to 3D printing and a 3D printed version of their design will be sent out to them following the session.

Suitable for children aged 9 - 15.
