Our Learning Team run workshops for home educators regularly throughout the school year. Join us to explore STEAM subjects, history, literacy and geography through our exciting workshops.
You must book workshop tickets in advance to join.
Every workshop ticket includes a self-guided visit to Tower Bridge and the Engine Rooms. This allows you to explore the iconic towers, take in the stunning views and experience the thrill of the Glass Floors at your own pace.

About the Bridge Builders Workshop
Did you know that Tower Bridge is a combination of three different types of bridges? Learn about the strengths and weaknesses of each design through hands-on activities. Then put your learning into practice by building a model bridge to a real-world brief.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. You must have tickets for all of the adults and children attending.

About the Raise Tower Bridge Workshop
Learn how this iconic structure opens and closes for passing boats then write and input the code required to raise the roads of an animated Tower Bridge using Scratch.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. You must have tickets for all of the adults and children attending.

Access and accessibility
Tower Bridge aim to make your day out comfortable and enjoyable. We have step-free access, toilets, various facilities and access support resources to help plan your visit.
With advance notice, we can provide tools to support your child’s earning such as resources in large print, braille, coloured overlays and visual stories.

Our workshops are generally suitable for children aged 7 – 12.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate children under the age of 7, or any younger siblings on the sessions.
Yes you can. Home educators are entitled to a 20% discount off the full ticket price when they book a self-guided tour between Monday and Friday in term time only. This works out at at £5.36 per child and £10.72 per adult.

No, your child doesn’t need any prior knowledge of Tower Bridge before attending the workshop.
