Next session: Christmas lights
When: Saturday 13 December
Time: 10:00 – 16:00
Where: Tower Bridge Learning Space
Did you know that when Tower Bridge first opened in 1894, it was lit by around 200 gas lamps situated in the centre of the carriageway across the Bridge? Long since removed to account for the increase in traffic, you can still see some of these lamps by William Sugg & Co in the surrounding area.
Find out more at our family activity day on Saturday 13 December and make your own lamp decoration to take home and keep. Our activities are free with the price of a ticket and are drop in, so no need to book. Suitable for all ages, but are particularly suited to those aged 6 to 10.
