Join our Learning Team as we explore Tower Bridge through costume, objects and materials on a tailor-made, multi-sensory guided tour.
The Victorian Thames SEND Workshop
Explore stories of the Victorian docks through costume, objects and multi-sensory based activities. We will design our SEND workshop in collaboration with teachers and students and this outreach session is delivered in your school or specialist setting.

Below are some commonly asked questions about planning your school trip.
Parking
Limited on-street parking is available in the areas around the Bridge. Please see individual bays for timings and charges.
Note: Tower Bridge is a Red Route and there can be no stopping at any time.
On arrival
If you have booked a SEND Guided Tour, please meet us outside the Engine Rooms on the south-west side of the Bridge at river level. A member of Learning Team will meet you. The exact location is marked on the map below:
There’s an external lift to access the Engine Rooms entrance from bridge level to the Thames footpath level. It is located on the southeast side of the Bridge.
Please be aware that due to unforeseen circumstances, lifts may be out of order at short notice.
Food and drink
There is no café onsite, so please bring a packed lunch and drinks with you should you require refreshments on your visit.
SEND groups taking part in a booked guided tour are provided with a lunchroom at Tower Bridge.

Changing Places toilets
There are no Changing Places toilets on site.
We have accessible toilets, located in both the Towers and the Engine Rooms.

Quiet spaces
Two quiet spaces are located in the South Tower. The spaces are equipped with a sink, soap, paper towels and a couple of seats and the lights can be dimmed. Please note these do not have step-free access.

School Visits Fund
The School Visits Fund may be able to support your visit to Tower Bridge. If your school is in Greater London and meets the criteria, you may be eligible for a grant. State-maintained schools with a pupil premium rate of 35% or more, SEND schools, Pupil Referral Units and youth organisations can all apply.
This fund provides grants of up to £325 towards the cost of admission, transport and teacher cover.
