Raise Tower Bridge (on-site)

This is the information page for our on-site Raise Tower Bridge workshop. For our online Raise Tower Bridge workshop please click here

Visit Tower Bridge with your class and discover how this iconic structure opens to passing boats, and how technology has changed in its lifetime.

Pupils will work together in small teams to build a model of Tower Bridge to understand the Bridge's engineering and how modern-day coding can be used to make it open. The workshop culminates in pupils writing and inputting the code required to raise the roads of an animated Tower Bridge using Scratch.

"You made it interesting, even though it must be hard talking to a screen. My children were engaged and learned things."
