Free family activities -
Gateway to the World
Saturday 20 July, 10.00 - 16.00
When it was first built, Tower Bridge was known as the ‘gateway to the world’. Families will discover why on Saturday 20th July at our free family activities and then create their own collage picture to take home.
All participating families will receive a
Family Activities Pass, entitling you to free entry on any Family Activities Day in the next six months.
Family activities are open to children of all ages but are particularly appropriate for those aged 6 to 10. No advanced booking is required and all activities are included in the price of your admission ticket.
Tower Bridge opens early on selected Saturdays for children with autism and other needs, as well as their siblings, families and carers.
Families are able to explore the Towers and Engine Rooms in a calm, relaxed atmosphere and also take part in a family craft activity if they wish. Also available is our family trail, which visitors can complete at their own pace.

Family trail app and explorer booklet
Designed especially for families, this handy app allows grown ups and little ones to discover Tower Bridge in exciting and interactive ways.
Transform your mobile device into a working wrench and tighten the bolts of a shaky engine; shovel coal into the boiler to power the bridge, and steer your boat safely along the Thames by tipping your phone from side to side!
We've also created a great new booklet which will entertain even the youngest visitor, bringing parents and children of all ages together for a day of family fun, exploration and imaginative learning.
